"I am participating on the centennial celebrating committee because
I think
the University of West Georgia is one of the greatest institutions in
this part of the state and adds so much to the quality of life for all
our citizens, and also because this is a golden opportunity, so to speak,
to call postive attention to the institution and its contributions to
the State and the need for the public to provide solid support as the
university carries out its various missions."
